Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a very important part of an adviser’s life. At PS146 Training Australia, we pride ourselves on offering practical, skills-based courses and our CPD Program is an extension of this offering.
Our online learning system has been custom-built to help financial services professionals meet and manage their CPD needs as determined by:
- Legislation (ASIC’s RG146 mandates continual adviser training under the Financial Services Reform regime);
- Industry groups (continuing membership may hinge on meeting CPD requirements);
- Licensees / Responsible Officers (as part of ongoing business compliance and best practice); and
- Individual desire to stay ahead in the competitive marketplace.
Easy to use
Designed to supplement our quarterly publication, Journal of Financial Advice, subscribers can easily access and navigate the online system to:
- Read online articles and undertake the CPD assessments.
- Design and oversee training plans for advisers (on an individual or group basis) and monitor any learning gaps.
- Upload and track all external training events.
Accredited by the AFA and FPA
Our CPD content is written by industry experts and respected academics. Each article is aligned to a RG146 competency area to help advisers meet their compliance requirements. This has been acknowledged with official accreditation from the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) and the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA).
CPD point breakdowns and accreditation numbers are contained within the CPD Program section of each Journal.
CPD Assessment
There are four multiple-choice questions pertaining to each CPD article. You can undertake the assessment using any of the following methods:
- log onto Mentor Education assessment portal (login details provided upon subscription);
- fax the Journal answer-sheet to 1300 366 170; or
- post to Mentor Education, Level 2, 349 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.
Individuals who answer at least three out of four questions correctly, will be deemed competent in that area. Our assessment team will create your Online CPD Account and send you a Certificate of Completion or advise if resubmission is required. You will also be issued with an Account Number and Password to view your progress online.
