The second RG146 / PS146 Training Course will allow you to provide personal advice to clients on suitable income protection, life insurance, business overheads and trauma insurance.

2. Principles of underwriting

3. Traditional insurance products

  • Whole of life insurance
  • Business Insurance
  • Key Man - Capital purpose
  • Key Man - Revenue purpose

4. Present appropriate strategies & solutions to the client

  • Establish relationship with client
  • Identify client’s objectives, needs and financial situation
  • Develop appropriate strategies and solutions
  • Present appropriate strategies and solutions to client
  • Negotiate financial plan with client
  • Coordinate implementation of agreed plan including completing and maintaining necessary documentation
  • Provide ongoing service where requested by client

Insurance Course Assessment

Upon enrolment, you will receive a course manual which includes three types of content that form the requirements to successfully complete this course:

  1. General Content;
  2. Reference Material; and
  3. Assessment Material.

Prior to attending the face-to-face workshop you will need to complete the required reading which includes the reading, re-reading and analysis of the General Content, Reference Material and Assessment Material.

The face-to-face workshop is a skill-based program moderated by a facilitator qualified to deliver and assess Student’s knowledge and skills and assist students in developing responses to activities in a group setting. Activity questions include case studies, role-plays, short answer and multiple choice questions to provide skill-based learning outcomes.
